SoftWave Tissue Regeneration Therapy in Colorado Springs
SoftWave therapy is an acoustic wave therapy that works by delivering targeted sound energy directly into damaged connective tissue, prompting your body’s own repair mechanisms to activate. At Wholistic Healing Experiences, we use SoftWave therapy as a non-invasive, no-downtime treatment option for patients dealing with chronic tissue injuries. Particularly those who have not received relief with massage, physical therapy, or chiropractic care alone. If you have a tendon, ligament, or fascial injury that has been slow to heal or has never fully healed, SoftWave may be the missing piece. It’s available now at our Briargate clinic in Colorado Springs!
How SoftWave Works
SoftWave delivers unfocused sound waves into the tissue at the treatment site. Unlike focused shockwave devices, SoftWave spreads energy across a broader treatment area, which means it reaches more of the affected tissue in a single pass.
Those waves create a controlled cellular-level response: your body detects the stimulus, interprets it as tissue stress, and responds by releasing growth factors and recruiting stem cell activity to the area. The result is accelerated repair of tissue that your body may have otherwise stopped trying to fix.
SoftWave is not:
It doesn’t heat tissue or send current through the body. It uses sound. Each session lasts approximately 10–15 minutes, and most patients walk out and go about their day.
Conditions SoftWave Treats at Wholistic Healing Experiences
Plantar fasciitis
Plantar fasciitis is one of the most stubborn soft tissue injuries we see. The fascia on the bottom of your foot has poor circulation to begin with, which is part of why it heals slowly and why standard stretching or orthotics often fall short. SoftWave for plantar fasciitis directly targets the degenerated tissue, stimulating the growth factor response that the body has essentially given up initiating on its own. Many patients with years-long plantar fasciitis see meaningful improvement within a few sessions of SoftWave therapy in Colorado Springs.
Shoulder pain and rotator cuff injuries
Rotator cuff tendons are notoriously slow to heal, and most patients with chronic shoulder pain have already tried cortisone, physical therapy, or both. SoftWave therapy for shoulder pain works at the tendon level, stimulating collagen remodeling and reducing the calcific deposits that can develop in long-standing rotator cuff injuries. It’s particularly useful for patients who want to avoid surgery or who have had surgery but still carry residual pain and stiffness.
Chronic knee pain
Whether the source is patellar tendinopathy, IT band syndrome, or degenerative changes in the tendons and connective tissue around the joint, chronic knee pain often involves tissue that has stopped remodeling. SoftWave therapy introduces the acoustic stimulus needed to restart that process. For patients who rely on anti-inflammatories just to function day-to-day, tissue regenerative therapy in Colorado Springs offers a path that addresses the underlying degeneration rather than masking it.
Post-surgical scar tissue
Surgery saves lives and restores function but it also leaves scar tissue, and scar tissue doesn’t behave like the healthy tissue it replaced. It’s stiffer, less pliable, and often the source of ongoing pain long after the incision has healed. SoftWave therapy breaks up the disorganized collagen matrix in scar tissue and promotes the growth of more functional tissue in its place. We use it regularly with post-surgical patients, often alongside medical massage, to address adhesions that limit range of motion and contribute to compensatory injury patterns.
Chronic low back and hip injuries
The lumbar and hip region is dense with connective tissue, ligaments, tendons, fascial layers. Chronic injuries in this area frequently involve degenerated tissue that standard treatments don’t adequately address. SoftWave therapy reaches these deeper structures and delivers the regenerative signal where it’s needed. For patients with SI joint pain, chronic piriformis issues, or low back pain that has become a long-term fixture, SoftWave is often an effective addition to or replacement for ongoing treatment cycles that haven’t produced lasting results.
SoftWave Therapy Pricing at Wholistic Healing Experiences
SoftWave is priced by treatment area and session package. Pricing details and package options are listed below. The table covers single-session rates as well as multi-session packages for the most common treatment protocols.
SoftWave is typically a fraction of the cost of surgery or ongoing prescription pain management, and it produces results in a defined treatment window rather than an indefinite management cycle. Most patients see measurable improvement within 3–6 sessions, which means you’ll know relatively quickly whether SoftWave is working for your specific injury.

Schedule Your SoftWave Evaluation
If you have a soft tissue injury that hasn’t responded the way you hoped, the next step is an evaluation, not a commitment to a full treatment course. At Wholistic Healing Experiences, we assess your specific injury first to determine whether SoftWave is the right tool for what you’re dealing with. We’re not interested in putting you through sessions that aren’t going to help you.
If you’ve been managing the same injury for months or years, call us at (719) 212-1336 to schedule your SoftWave evaluation at our Briargate location in Colorado Springs. It is worth the conversation.

Is SoftWave Therapy Right for You?
How many SoftWave sessions will I need?
Most patients see meaningful improvement within 3–6 sessions, though the number depends on the severity and duration of the injury. A chronic tendon injury that has been present for five years will typically require more sessions than a more recent soft tissue problem. Your initial evaluation at Wholistic Healing Experiences determines the recommended protocol before you commit to anything.
Is SoftWave therapy painful?
Most patients describe a mild pulsing or pressure sensation at the treatment site. It’s noticeable but not painful. There’s no numbing required, no downtime afterward, and no recovery period. You can return to normal activity immediately.
How is SoftWave different from shockwave therapy?
Traditional shockwave therapy uses focused acoustic energy concentrated at a single point, which can be intense and sometimes painful to receive. SoftWave uses unfocused waves that spread across a broader treatment area, which makes it more comfortable, better tolerated, and effective across a wider zone of damaged tissue in each session.
Does insurance cover SoftWave therapy? SoftWave is not typically covered by standard health insurance. We accept HSA and FSA cards, which allows many patients to use pre-tax funds toward their treatment
